As we approach the close of another remarkable year, I am delighted to extend my warmest wishes for a joyful International Education Week (IEW), taking place November 17–21. This year's celebration features more than 80 interactive events across the Forty Acres, showcasing the University’s global programs, innovative partnerships, and the extraordinary contributions of our students, faculty, and alumni.


Together, we honor the transformative power of international education and its enduring role in shaping our community. Second Chapter for First Semester Abroad

​K’Liyah Taylor joined a pioneering cohort of students who began their first semester at UT Austin in one of four dynamic global cities. Take the World by the Horns is giving new Longhorns a unique way to earn credit while exploring the world — and themselves.

Primates and Parasites: Fulbright in the Amazon

After receiving a Fulbright Scholar Award in 2024, Anthropology Professor Anthony DiFiore launched a bold new chapter to his storied career. From his treehouse lab in Ecuador's Amazonian rainforest, he now seeks to identify parasites that infect local woolly, spider, and howler monkeys, deepening our understanding of global ecological health.
